Superhuman Dance Competition Set to Ignite

the Bay Area Dance Scene This September

The Bay Area's premier dance choreography competition, Superhuman, is set to take place on September 28, 2024, at Ciel Creative Space in Berkeley. This highly anticipated event will feature ten of the most innovative choreographers in the region, showcasing their talents and vying for top honors in an evening of spectacular performances.

Superhuman is designed to highlight the diverse dance styles and cultural expressions within the Bay Area. The competition will provide a platform for emerging choreographers to showcase their work and offer a unique behind-the-scenes look at their creative processes through video content shared prior to the event.

"We are thrilled to bring together such exceptional talent and provide a stage for these incredible artists," said Emerson Aquino, Creative Director of Superhuman. "Our mission is to celebrate the creativity and dedication of choreographers and inspire future generations of dancers."

In addition to captivating performances, the event will feature a panel of esteemed judges, including renowned dance leaders from the Bay Area. Winners will receive cash prizes and recognition for their exceptional artistry.

Superhuman is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of community and creativity. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artists and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere filled with dance and music.

The event is produced by Emerson Aquino, Julia Lott, Rhummanee Hang, with partners In The Groove Studios, City Dance Live. Superhuman is hosted by the 401K Dance Company, a well-respected entity in the dance community known for its dedication to promoting dance and fostering talent.
